Dan May 27, 2020 for Model Number WM2277HW I’m replacing bearings and have gotten to the stage of punching the shaft out of bearing. It’s not budging at all. I’ve sprayed different kinds of lubricant on it and let it sit but with no luck. I’m afraid of hitting to hard infearof breaking drum cover. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Dan, it sounds as if the drive shaft of the basket spider is seized into the inner race of the spin bearings. Excess hammering on the rear of the shaft may cause the shaft to bulge enough to lock it to the bearings. If it will absolutely not come apart the only other repair recourse would be replacing the rear outer tub assembly AJQ35154204 and the spider 4434ER0002H. Read More...
Pal May 21, 2020 for Model Number WM2277HW I am replacing tub bearing for LG Washer model WM2277HW. I have ordered the tub bearings and seal followed the video until the point of taking out or punching out the old bearings. I applied rust remover and tried to punch out the outer bearing first as shown in the video and the bearing seems to be stuck. I think I have tried to punch it our with enough force but not sure looking at the video how much hammer force I need to apply. Any ideas as to how to punch these out are appreciated. Thanks, Pal
1 Answer Pal, You will have to hit the bearing all the way around and will need to use some force to get this to knock out. Read More...
Geno April 16, 2020 for Model Number WM0642HW Only one of the two required bearings is in stock. Is part number AP5672864 discontinued, or just out of stock? If it's discontinued, what's the next option? Does buying the tub assembly come with bearings, seal, and spider? Or is the spider part of the inner drum assembly? It's hard to tell from the small diagram. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Geno, it just shows as out of stock at this time. The rear outer tub assembly AJQ35154204 does come complete with the bearings installed. The spider 4434ER0002H is available separately. Read More...
Reed Bowden April 07, 2020 for Model Number wm2075cw Is this the only bearing I would need to purchase in order to do the repair? I'm quite sure that I need to replace the bearing. in the video it shows two bearings and a seal but I only see one listing for the bearing here. I plan on getting the seal as well. Thanks
Ira January 05, 2020 for Model Number WM2077CW Unfortunately, the old outer tub bearing fell apart once I had followed all the other steps in the well documented repair video. I've been able to remove the inner seal and inner bearing. But the outer bearing only has the inside race that is still in the drum assembly. I've been trying to slowly pound it out with a mini sledge and chisel. Unfortunately, there are no real places to get a solid bite with the chisel to be able to force out the remainder of the bearing. Would you have any other suggestions regarding removal of the bearing?
1 Answer Ira, a long and thin flat head screwdriver might be better suited for attempting to get the inner race out. Read More...
Walt February 15, 2019 for Model Number WM2277HW I have removed the two Bearings from the Drum drive shaft. I wish to buy the two Bearings, bearing seal, and Durm O'ring that goes between the two haves of the Drum. I want PN's and Pricing information. How long before delivery?
1 Answer Walt, The outer bearing is no longer available by itself you will need to purchase the outer rear tub and this will come with your bearings and seal installed. Part # is AJQ35154204 and the part price is 278.97 before taxes and shipping depend on your preferred method and with the part being oversized there would be some charges for that I would assume.
