Frank for Model Number LFX29945ST00 Ice maker does not make/harvest ice. It appears that when the ice is made and the motor turns on to push the ice out of the maker the tray starts to rotate but stops. The motor makes a couple clicks like gears are not meshing/stipped and the tray returns to the starting position without dumping the ice and the motor turns off. Does this ice maker have a cube tray heater and could this not be working so the ice cannot be removed?
Answer Frank, this ice maker would not use a heater as it is a flextray style ice maker. The clicking that is being heard from the ice maker motor would certainly be gears that are skipping and not allowing the tray to rotate properly. Read More...
