Mel April 04, 2024 for Model Number Kenmore Elite 795.72053.118 My ice maker makes ice not won’t dump. Manual dumping works. With the freezer temp set to -6 overnight temps of freezer is 2° and the ice maker compartment is 13°. I have recently cleaned the cooling fins. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Steve M December 09, 2022 for Model Number LFX25974ST/00 I called and gave model number and was sent a replacement icemaker AEQ 72910411. I found that it has a wrong connector and doesn't match the one on the icemeaker. The correct one will need to be a 10 pin type . Is the correct replacement AEG731102?

Sharon July 28, 2022 for Model Number lfx28978st/00 When I think I have found correct replacement ice maker model for Lg french door fridge they all say not compatible. It has the 3 wire harness but only makes 12 ice cubes unlike the 14 I have seen in all the new ones. Is there an ice maker model to replace my broken one? This has been an exercise in frustration.

Joseph April 08, 2022 for Model Number LG LFX28978ST / 04 Hello, My ice maker stopped making ice. The cube tray got twisted and stuck. I can not find a replacement for only the ice cube tray. So it seems that I have to replace the whole ice maker. I can not seem to tell exactly which ice maker I need. The ice maker that comes in a search for my refrigerator has 14 ice cube tray. My original ice maker has a 12 cube tray. Does the 14 cube tray work and just make smaller cubes or am I not finding the correct replacement? Also I have the 6 wire connector. I see in posts that you have to identify number of wires to get the correct wiring harness. Thanks Joe
1 Answer Joesph, The part number for the ice maker on your unit will be AEQ73110203 and will be 14 cubes which just means the cubes will be a little smaller but will come through the dispenser better. As for the wiring. You will have to remove the housing that holds the auger motor in order to replace the ice maker.
