Charlie for Model Number Kenmore 795.7205 ice maker top unit My ice maker is jammed downward and I had to shut it off. Looks like my wife broke something on the right side of the unit. The unit needs to be replaced. I took out the screws that hold the unit and the back panel. I don't know how to disconnect the multi-plug. Is there a pop out on the side or on the flat portion? I'm concerned I might break the release tab. If I can disconnect the electrical plug, the whole unit will pull out and I can buy the replacement. Can you help with the electrical plug?
Answer Charlie, unfortunately, the model number provided appears to be a partial model. If the full model could be provided in a new question, this will allow for the most accurate information to be presented. Generally speaking, if there is a center lock tab it can be pressed in while pulling the connector. If there are "wings" sticking out on the side they can be pressed in while pulling the connector.
