Securityguy35 for Model Number WT1101CW I am getting the grinding noise when my washer is running. The drum will spin but the agitator is locked. i removed the wash plate and it does not appear to be damaged and nothing is stuck that I can see. I ran a quick test on the washer without the wash plate and the washer is still grinding. It sounds like the clutch is not fully engaging or is stripped internally. How can I check the Clutch motor to see if this is the problem? Is this the Clutch assembly that is the problem? thanks
Answer Hello Sc35, since you are not getting a fault code for a faulty clutch motor it is possible the linkage from the clutch motor to the clutch assembly or the clutch assembly internally has failed.
