Chris August 26, 2023 for Model Number WT4870CW Which parts should i be changing with a LE error code
1 Answer Chris, the stator wires would need to be inspected for any indications of damage or loose connections from the main control down to the stator 4417EA1002K. If the wires look good, the stator windings would need to be tested and they should measure between 5 to 15 Ohms of resistance. The rotor 4413EA1004D would also need to be inspected for damaged magnets. If either of these items are found to be damaged or fail a test, that specific item would need to be replaced. Read More...
John August 08, 2021 for Model Number WT7600HKA This is a LG top loading washing machine, Model WT7600HKA. The clutch drive shaft that attaches to the washer plate sheared off. I replaced the Washing machine clutch and reattached the washer plate. Now there is a ratcheting sound when the clutch engages for agitating, and some ratcheting sound when it first begins to spin. I am wondering if this could be caused by a faulty clutch motor. I am not getting any error codes, and other than the noise, the machine washes normally.
1 Answer John, A faulty clutch motor would certainly cause the issue of the noise that you are hearing. It would be recommended to replace the clutch motor. Read More...
Securityguy35 June 03, 2021 for Model Number WT1101CW I am getting the grinding noise when my washer is running. The drum will spin but the agitator is locked. i removed the wash plate and it does not appear to be damaged and nothing is stuck that I can see. I ran a quick test on the washer without the wash plate and the washer is still grinding. It sounds like the clutch is not fully engaging or is stripped internally. How can I check the Clutch motor to see if this is the problem? Is this the Clutch assembly that is the problem? thanks
1 Answer Hello Sc35, since you are not getting a fault code for a faulty clutch motor it is possible the linkage from the clutch motor to the clutch assembly or the clutch assembly internally has failed. This would require accessing that area to see what the actual problem is. Read More...
Jim January 26, 2021 for Model Number WT5680HVA Washer will not spin ue error on empty load Checked thru service mode on step (11times) the pulsator spins but not the tub. Bolt tight on motor. Is there a service bulletin for this problem? Thanks Jim
1 Answer Jim, It would be recommended to check the actuator for the clutch and make sure that it is operating properly. This will be the most likely cause of the issue. Read More...
B Winters November 21, 2020 My LG Model WT1501CW does not clean because the pulsator (wash action) is not moving the clothes around. Everything else seems to be working. What would be the cause?
1 Answer B Winters, You will want to pull the pulsator and check to make sure that the splines inside the pulsator are not stripped. If they are not then check for a clutch that is faulty causing the unit to not agitate. Read More...
Puzzled February 17, 2020 for Model Number WT1201CW Replaced the motor and stater, LE code. Now I sometime get a E6 code and while it is running it sounds like the teeth on the gears are too close. Ratcheting noise. It will finally spin but it is making bad noises at the clutch area like the gears are not messing correctly.
