Francesco for Model Number 11078632700 When i turn on the drier i see the igniter glowing i hear the click of the gas valve opening gas comes out but does not ignite. i open the drier there is strong smell of gas. I already replaced the gas valve solenoids but no success. Initially this was happening sometimes it would ignite sometimes it did not. now it never ignites. Thank you for your help FT
Answer Francesco, you may want to test the ignitor [279311] for proper resistance. The resistance of the ignitor should be between 50 to 500 ohms. It is possible that the ignitor is heating up just enough to open the flame sensor and let the coils activate, but not enough to where it doesn't cool down too much to ignite the gas. Read More...
