Peter D. for Model Number dlg3788w You answered my question that I should replace the gas valve. Would that be the only cause? You said it would not be the flame sensor or the igniter (even though it never flames up after the first time). Would you recommend changing either of those parts?
Answer Hello Peter, As stated previously, the flame sensor can sometimes cause this issue but it is not common for this to be the case. Most of the time the cause is that one of the gas valves in the valve assembly 5221EL2002A is not staying open. Since the flame does ignite for the first cycle, this practically eliminates the flame sensor. This does not eliminate the gas valve since it requires all three of the valves in this assembly to properly function for the flame to ignite again once it has cycled off the first time. Read More...
