Steve for Model Number LG DLG2526W Hello, I have an LG DLG2526W dryer. It stopped drying and we smelled natural gas. The igniter glows orange for several seconds but the gas doesn't ignite. It will repeat the process of glowing and turning off several times until I smell gas and turn off the machine. The igniter is getting 120VAC and the resistance is 320 ohms (I don't have an amp meter). The dryer is still stacked and I've been reluctant to take off the front panel to check out the gas valve. Any suggestions?
Answer Hello Steve, the gas valve coils are failing , they are part of the gas valve assembly 5221EL2002A also the flame sensor 6501EL3001A should be replaced at the same time as they work together. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 16, 2020
