By: Lg
Part Number: OEM13900806
Manufacturer Part Number: 4970JA3011K

The Ice Door Lever Spring is an OEM component compatible with LG refrigerators. It is part of the mechanism that opens and closes the ice door on LG French door refrigerators. Over time, springs can lose resiliency or become misaligned.

Causes may be extensive usage over years or damage like kinking that compromises spring function.

Symptoms of a bad ice door lever spring include:

  • The ice door not latching fully when closed
  • Difficulty opening or poor balance while moving the door
  • The lever rubbing or catching instead of moving smoothly

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators.

Tom for Model Number LFX25960TT

I've ordered the new Flap door for my LFX25960TT model LG refrigerator ice door dispenser thinking that the plastic lever came with the door flap. It did not. Looking at the manual I do not see a part number for the lever itself. I can get the spring for the lever and the solenoid which draws the lever up and down to open the flap but not the lever. The lever plastic hook has broken off and is the only part that need to be replaced. Can you assist with getting the lever part number please? Thank you Tom

Answer

Tom, Based on your post information, you would need to order the 5007JA3006R / 5007JA3006R Ice Chute Door Assembly. The assembly consists of the door, lever(with the hook) and the door flap heater/wires. There is also a "how-to" repair video attached to the parts diagram screen, so you'll have a better idea of the repair process/procedure. Thanks,
