Jerry A Birt Sr for Model Number Samsung RF4287HA/XAA I am not getting water to my ice maker on a Samsung RF4287HA. This refrigerator gave me problems with the freezer about 2 years ago and I have problems with the only Samsung authorized repairman in my area. I ended up buying a new LG refrigerator and moved the old Samsung out into my garage. At that point the Samsung was only 8 years old. A local repairman checked out the Samsung, told me it was a little low on refrigerant. He added refrigerant and the refrigerator has been working great ever since. During the past 2 years I did not have a water line connected to the refrigerator. Last week I installed a water line to the refrigerator and was happy to see that I now had water to the refrigerator. Prior to running any water to the front panel water dispenser I did install a new Samsung water filter. After 2 days I still did not have any ice in the ice maker and I started searching on the online for possible solutions. I tried the reset button on the inside of the ice maker, checked all the connectors on the main control board and still no water flow. I pulled the Water Inlet Valve Assembly and used a Digital MultiMeter to check the resistance. Both coils measured a little over 310 ohms which, according to some You Tube videos was a good reading. I then made a test cable (I worked in electronics for many years) and applied 1117 Vac to the ice maker coil and I got water flowing into the ice maker. So at this point it appears that the Water Inlet Valve Assembly is good. From my online reading it seems to say that either the Ice Maker assembly or the Main Control Board is bad..... Oh yes, one more thing. When I run the diagnostic by pressing and holding the Energy Saving and Lighting on the touch panel I almost immediately get Error Code 39 E Any and all help you can give would be greatly appreciated along with parts and availability of the parts that might be a solution to resolving my problem. Thank You, Jerry A. Birt Sr.
Answer Jerry, The E 39 error code will be an icemaker function error which would mean that the icemaker DA97-07365G is faulty and will need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, July 7, 2021
