Ed Martin for Model Number RF4287HARS/XAA-01 I'm having the "all-to-common" issue with the ice maker not making ice. I replaced the ice maker assembly about two yrs ago and it had been working fine until over-night it stopped making ice and the auger did not rotate to move what ice was in the catch bin to the dispenser in the door (which is a first). Additionally, when the door ice lever was pushed water came out the door tube but no ice. Water also dispensed when the water lever was pushed. There doesn't appear to be any visible ice damn in the compartment. It is no longer making ice. I depressed the reset button but got no change in status. My dilemma is it needing another ice maker assembly or is it a water valve that I need to order? P.S. I'm also having difficulty obtaining the correct water filter for this Samsung locally. It seems no one has the correct filter for this model and its been a while since it was changed. Do you sell them? Thank you.
Answer Ed, Thanks for the question!!! Your filter is part number DA29-00020B. As for the ice maker, you can use the button located on the side (press and hold for 10 seconds) to see if it will cycle. If it does cycle and fill with water verify that the ice compartment is below 10 degrees F. If below 10 F replace the ice maker DA97-07365G, if above 10 F look for issues on why such as airflow blockage or fan issues. Read More...
