James for Model Number WF218ANB/XAA Model WF218ANB/XAA. During spin makes a noise. opened the door and there was a small amount of smoke in the tub. Also clothes did not drain properly, Removed the pump filter and had shredded white plastic in the filter. What could this be and what parts would I need?
Answer Hello James, You will need to make sure nothing is between the tubs and the spin basket is not contacting the door boot. Spinning the spin basket by hand will normally give away anything between the tubs and removing the main top will show if the tub assembly is not hanging properly. Answer James, WIth the white plastic shavings in the drain then this will most likely be a flange that has broken which is part number DC97-14875B. You may also want to check the front tub to make sure that it has not worn out the front. This will most likely be the case and would be recommended to replace the front tub.
