Robert T for Model Number Samsung Washer Model WF350ANW-XAA 02 During the spin cycle, the washer drum makes a slapping or galloping sound for about 1-2 secondes at the lower RPM range. Once the spin cycle gets up to faster speeds after the first couple seconds, the slapping or galloping sound goes away. The washing machine has never given me an error code and the cycles have always finished successfully. Do you think this is a problem with one or both of the balance rings (AP4327038) or should I be looking at the flange shaft assembly (AP4458785) and possibly the center tub seal (AP4212809) and tub seal (AP4212809)? The unit seems fairly level when I tested it with a small level on top of the machine. Is there anything else that I can check before taking the machine apart and replacing parts? Thank you!
Answer Hello Robert, this sounds like the rear spin bearings are starting to wear, that would allow the basket to wobble at the beginning of spin and once rotating fast enough the balance ring would generate enough centrifugal force to stabilize the basket. The repair, in that case, would be the replacement of the rear outer tub section DC97-15328L and possibly the basket support DC97-15491A. Read More...
