Robert B for Model Number RS267LASH/XAA My Refrigerator is warm (60) but the freezer is OK (-6). This is after I got 34 on the frig and flashing and pulled the power for 10 mins to reset things. I pulled the freezer inside back panel and the unit was not really frozen up, just a little frost. The circulation fan is running but I don't feel that much air blowing in the frige side with the door switch closed. What do you think I need? I opened the freezer door with the power off for about 15 mins and observed no Ice or frost, put the panel with fan back in and am observing the results. so far after about 1 1/2 hours I have 14 on the freezer and 63 on the fridge. I think that maybe the fridge won't get any cold air until the freezer reaches temp. ( I set it to a higher 8 degrees just to see if the fridge side starts dropping.) I don't know if my assumption is correct or not.
Answer Robert, The refrigerator and freezer work independent of each other and you will want to pull the rear cover in the refrigerator section. Check the coils in the refrigerator to make sure that the coils are not frosted or impacted with ice. If they are then test the defrost sensor. This will be the most likely cause of the issue.
