Eric for Model Number RS2578SH Both the freezer and the refrigerator are both not cooling on my Samsung RS2578SH side-by-side refrigerator (mfg date 8-2004). The freezer stopped working first, the temprature light was flashing 50 degrees. About two weeks later the refrigerator stopped cooling as well and th fridge temp light started flashing like the freezer. I have replaced the motherboard and the compressor relay and that did not fix the problem. The compressor appears to be working becaus when i put may hand on it i can feel some vibration and it is warm. The comressor cooling fan in working. Any suggestions that you can give is very much appreciated. Thank you! Eric
Answer Eric, You will want to check the frost pattern in the freezer compartment on the evaporator coils. If there is very little frost on the coils then the issue will be a sealed system failure and you will want to contact an authorized refrigeration technician to repair the unit. Read More...
