Sam for Model Number RS2544SL I have a couple questions: 1) is the PA417999 the right part for the RS2544SL Samsung fridge. what is the DA# for this assembly? 2) My measurement of defrost heater resistance showed open circuit, as a result I wantt to replace the defrost heater only instead of the entire evaporator assembly; can I detach defrost heater from the new evaporator assembly? thanks
Answer Sam, Yes, part number DA96-00020Q is the correct part for your refrigerator. It is not recommended to detach the heater assembly from the new evaporator to attach to the old as this could damage the evaporator and cause a sealed system leak. Read More...
