Greg for Model Number DV42H5200EW/A3 When taking apart my heating element assembly the red and blue wires were reversed on the heating element compared to your videos (blue wire on bottom and red on top on my dryer). We bought our dryer used and had issues with no heat right after buying (it came with a 4 month warranty and they fixed it). I want to make sure they didn’t put the wires on wrong. It has run fine for 2 years. Does it matter which wires attach to which lead? I’m guessing no since it ran fine for 2 years. I just want to check (Btw, I did confirm a short in the heating element).
Answer Greg, It will not matter which wire goes to which terminal, both wires are live when the heater is turned on as one is the L1 supply and the other is the L2. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 9, 2019
