Phil for Model Number FER300SB/XAA Oven (Samsung FER300SB/XAA) will not hold temp. The longer the oven runs the lower the temp gets in oven. Last bake was 350 for 30 minutes, it took 2 hour and still not baked and temp in oven went as low as 225? Oven will go to requested temperature but than falls drastically. Was set at 375, which it was not at, Then I moved it to 400. Temperature rose to 384, stayed there for about 3 minutes, rose to 400. Within 30 minutes oven was back to 250. Thanks for any help you might offer. I wondered if it is the sensor or the control board.
Answer Phil, the temperature sensor DG32-00002B can be tested to identify if it is the cause of failure or if it is the control DE92-03045B (part has been discontinued by the manufacturer). The temperature sensor can be tested for resistance and should measure about 1100 Ohms at room temperature. It should then increase 2 Ohms for every 1°F that it warms up. If the sensor tests good, and the hi-limit thermostat DE47-20037A does not trip, the control would be the cause of failure. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, April 4, 2024
