W.N.W for Model Number WFW72HEDW Can someone tell me if I can rewire the water pressure switch to another one? I realize that the current switch cannot be adjusted I need to swap it out for an older model that is adjustable. What would be helpful is an indication of the what each wire of the plug does. I.e. Positive, negative, etc. there has to be a way to fix this machine. The water level simply does not work and Whirlpool is of no help.
Answer Hello W.N.W., I"m sorry but you would need to be an engineer to safely achieve your request. The only pressure switch recommended by the manufacturer for this unit is WPW10448876. If replacing it does not correct the issue, make sure there are no obstructions in the hose or at the opening in the outer tub where the hose connects. If nothing is present in there you will need to replace the control since the problem will be in the electronic control W11031829. You should also run the diagnostic tests to see if there are any fault codes pointing to a door switch or other common cause of the issue. Read More...
