Ken for Model Number K45SS Surges at lowest speed setting (average rpm = 120). Adjustment of speed plate adjusting screws has no impact at stir setting. With mixer running, can even push the top of the plate all the way in, and mixer will not appear to slow down. Mid to high range settings do seem to increase speed slightly. Removed governor as a test. With governor removed, mixer ran at a constant speed throughout all settings -- but no hunting. Was suspecting governor, but this device is so simple with just a spring and two weights which seem to all be intact. Speed plate has no visual defects and speed board has no visual defects.

For 240-volt board use W11174552). Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Sunday, July 10, 2022
