Tom C for Model Number MHWE450WR00 Washer stopped in middle of cycle and set code F28. Door locked and could not be opened without manual switch lever. Have eliminated door switch and CCU but still have problem. Washer is five years old with limited use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer Tom, The F28 error code is a serial communication Error between the CCU and MCU. You will want to check the wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor and the CCU, check the connections of the CCU board within the housing. Make sure that all grounding switches are engaged and good. Check the harness between the CCU and MCU Check drive system for any worn or failed components. Also try running a diagnostic cycle.
