Susie for Model Number WFW9150WW00 Hello, our Whirlpool Duet washing machine broke on Thursday (ugh!). It was making funny sounds and my husband noticed water on the floor. After researching appliance repair service men in the yellow pages, a gentleman came to our house that afternoon and charged us $50 to look at the unit. His receipt says the machine needs a new below or gasket and when he called on Friday, he said the part is on back-order for 3-4 weeks and could cost us near $300 to fix. The unit is only 2.5 years old but is not under warranty. What should we do?
