Me H. for Model Number wfw9400sw01 When I wash a load on hand wash or delicate it leaks from the front of the machine. The other cycles it doesn't leak. We do know that when the washer fills up for the handwash & delicate cycles it uses more water and it starts leaking within the first 8 minutes. Do we need to replace the front bellow tub seal?
Answer Hi. Remove the top. Remove the pressure switch part # WPW10514214 (soil level) hose. Blow back in towards the tub and remove the restriction there. If you did remove the restriction, then use "Afresh" washer cleaning tablets part # W10549845 to clean the unit monthly. If the pressure switch senses to not close when needed it will allow too much of a fill. Make sure the vent system is clear and the outside vent hood opens and closes properly so the outside air does not create a restriction (moisture build up). Check the inside door glass and make sure there are no debris build up there. Look at the door boot itself part # WP8182119 to see if there are rips. You will need the rear boot clamp part # WP8182210 as well. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. Thank You. Read More...
