Carl for Model Number MFW9700SQ0 Is Part# AP3597347 the correct Front Bellow Tub Seal for my washer? Are other parts required for replacement? Also do you have instructions on how to replace?
Answer Hello Carl! Yes, the front bellow WP8182119 is the correct gasket used on your model MFW9700SQ0. No other parts are required unless broken on your unit now. If needed, the front clamp is part number W10902779 and the rear clamp is part number WP8182210. Here are the instructions from the manufacturer, hope it helps. Thanks! 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Turn off the water supply to the washer. 3. Remove the top cover and the console. 4. Remove the lower front access panel. 5. Open the washer door. 6. Using a small screwdriver or a pair of long-nosed pliers, pull the tension spring on the retaining wire out from around the front of the bellows, and remove the wire. 8. To remove the bellows: a) Remove the two T-20 Torx screws from the door switch assembly. b) Remove the front panel from the washer. c) Turn the bellows retaining clamp screw counterclockwise until the clamp is loose enough to remove it from around the bellows. NOTE: It may be necessary to completely remove the screw from one end of the clamp. d) Remove the bellows retaining clamp from around the bellows 8182119. e) Pull the bellows off the front of the tub. REASSEMBLY NOTE: When you reinstall the bellows, be sure to position the “weep holes”at the bottom, and align the top arrow mark at 12:00 first. Read More...
