The Drive Belt is an OEM component specifically designed for Whirlpool brand clothes washers. It connects the transmission pulley to the drive motor pulley, transferring power to turn the wash basket. This belt measures approximately 30 1/4 inches.

Causes of a problematic belt include cracks and breaks from prolonged cyclic loads. Lint or debris lodged in the belt can damage it prematurely as well.

After changing belt washer went through wash cycle,when washer got to spin cycle it started making loud noise and does not spin. Did I do something wrong?

Tim, You will want to check the drain pump on the unit to make sure that it is not siezed up and make sure that it is not clogged causing the noise and not allowing to spin.
