Rick for Model Number Kenmore 110-22702-100 Hello, Recently, our washer did not spin fast so the clothers were still very wet. I purchased and replaced the clutch. (Thanks for your website and videos.) Now it seems to spin faster but not spin long enough and the rinse seems to think it is done even though there is sometimes soap bubbles still visible on the spun clothes or the inside of the basket. Several questions: 1) What else can be problem? 2) Is there a way to check the drive block without disassembly? 3) You never mention the part number or source for the drive block spanner wrench. Is there a kit that contains both wrench and drive block? 4) With the unit disassembled for clutch replacement (I took it apart again to double check my clutch install) I can spin the clutch housing counterclockwise and it eventually engages with the transmission and turns the motor shaft, but when i spin the housing clockwise, it never turns the motor shaft. Is this normal action? Thanks
Answer Rick, The only thing that would determine the length of the spin cycle would be the timer. It sounds as though the timer is quick advancing during the spin cycle. With the drive block there is not a kit that has the spanner wrench and the drive block. The spanner wrench would be part number TB123B. When spinning the clutch counter clockwise it will engage the transmission and turn the motor shaft, this is for the spin. the clockwise rotation will not engage the motor shaft. This is the design in which the clockwise motion of the motor shaft is for the agitation and the transmission is what turns the agitator shaft. Read More...
