Sol for Model Number MDB7609AWS2 I just ordered a control panel and a control board for a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7609AWS2 from your company. The dishwasher sometimes won't start. Power cycling it and doing a reset sequence usually doesn't help get it working again. Using the information in the diagnostic sheet behind the kick panel, I tested both the keypad (all continuity tests were good) and all of its LEDs lit during the service diagnostic cycle. With the keypad ribbon cable disconnected, the control board ran the drain motor for 2 minutes, suggesting that was also good, though that's a pretty minimal test. I would like to know which of these two parts would you replace first, to see if that fixes the dishwasher? If that does it, I will return the other part. If not, I will replace both parts. Thanks for your help.
Answer Sol, With testing the keypad being good and all the lights coming on during the diagnostics then the control board would most likely be the cause even though it ran through a 2 min drain. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, March 4, 2014
