This electronic control board is the appliance's central controller. It interprets user inputs and sensor feedback to run cycles and coordinate components. Replacing a failed board can restore proper operation and responsive controls. What it does:

Mary, You wouled want to start by checking voltage to the wash motor with a multimeter. You could have a bad motor winding or something stuck in the wash motor/pump impeller, that would cause the motor to hum and not run. Do you rember a broken article in the dishwasher, or something similar. The drain motor 9 to drain the machine) is a separate assembly, and we know that one works.
