This electronic control board is the appliance's central controller. It interprets user inputs and sensor feedback to run cycles and coordinate components. Replacing a failed board can restore proper operation and responsive controls. What it does:

  • Manages the timing and sequence of operations based on selected settings
  • Interprets signals from the user interface and internal sensors
  • Directs power to components via onboard electronics

Hi Chris. Remove the lower kick panel or the inner door. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. At the start of the dry mode the control panel Has to send 120 vac to the heater below.Check at the control board heater output terminals and verify that the control board has this output. Make sure the control board has not burned open on the heater relay solder connections. If so then replace the control board part # W11202746. Also check to see if the heater circuit does not allow the temperature sensor to close, it will indefinitely stay in the run mode. You will need to change the heater part # WPW10082892 and the thermostat part # WP661566 mounted under the tub. Thank You.
