Chris for Model Number mdbh979aws3 Dishwasher works normally but does not stop at the end of the wash time. The machine runs in the rinse mode. Machine does not go into the dry cycle.
Answer Hi Chris. Remove the lower kick panel or the inner door. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. At the start of the dry mode the control panel Has to send 120 vac to the heater below.Check at the control board heater output terminals and verify that the control board has this output. Make sure the control board has not burned open on the heater relay solder connections. If so then replace the control board part # W11202746. Also check to see if the heater circuit does not allow the temperature sensor to close, it will indefinitely stay in the run mode. You will need to change the heater part # WPW10082892 and the thermostat part # WP661566 mounted under the tub. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 4, 2012
