Jennifer for Model Number msd2651kgw My Maytag refrigerator is not working properly. The freezer bottom stays cold, but the refrigerator side is warm. We found that there was a solid block of ice on the coils in the freezer. So we unplugged it and thawed it out. Worked fine for a couple weeks and then the same thing started happening. Wondering where to start? Would it need an Adaptive Defrost control board? Or should we start with a thermostat? Help! Thanks! Jennifer
Answer Jennifer, You will want to test the defrost heater WP67004188 and defrost thermostat WP67004757 for continuity. If either one of these parts has no continuity then replace that part.
