Jabari for Model Number gi5svaxvl01 My power went out about 4 days ago and my WHIRLPOOL Gold model (#gi5svaxvl01) will not come on. I unplugged it and plugged it back in but it will not power up. However the lights on the inside all work. The control panel on the door is blank too. Is there a reset switch? Is there anyway you can help me? Thank you in advance!
Answer Jabari, No there is no reset switch in the refrigerator, If you unplug the power cord , wait 30 to 60 seconds and plug it back in to the outlet, that would reset the board. Make sure you have power at the outlet, access the H V Control board WPW10310240 / W10213583 on the back of the refrigerator. Restore power to the machine, and check for 120 VAC across the J1 pin 4 (red wire) and J1 pin 8 (white wire) if you have the voltage, replace the HV Control board. Read More...
