Jerry for Model Number KSB560080 MY BLENDER SUDDENLY STARTED VISIBLY SMOKING FROM UNDER THE COUPLER ON HIGH SPEED LAST NIGHT. THE BLENDER WORKS ON ALL SPEEDS AND THE SHAFT SPINS FREELY, CW AND CCW, AND IT IS NOT LOCKED UP. IT HAS NOT SMOKED WHEN RUN BRIEFLY (5 SECONDS) ON LOWER SPEEDS BUT HAS A DISTINCTLY BURNED RUBBER OR ELECTRICAL SMELL COMING FROM THE COUPLER GAP. IS THERE A REPLACEABLE SEAL OR GASKET OR RUBBER O-RING IN THERE SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE MOTOR AND COUPLER THAT COULD BE MALFUNCTIONING? MANY THANKS, JERRY
Answer Hello Jerry. It sounds like either the coupler or the motor WPW10225872 got to hot and caused the smoke. There is no rubber to cause this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 18, 2016
