Al for Model Number WRS321SDHZ01 My ice maker is not making whole cubes just making a sliver of a half moon shape. Water pressure in the door seems good and water is going into the ice maker and it is making ice. I’ve tried adjusting the plastic screw on the right side of the ice maker but it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Do I need a new water valve or new maker.
Answer Al, when the ice maker is in a harvest cycle, the valve WPW10179146 would need to be tested for 120VAC. At the end of the harvest cycle, it should receive 120 Volts for 9 to 12 seconds. If it does, the valve has failed and is not letting water through properly. If not, the icemaker WPW10300022 would be the cause of failure. Read More...
