Linda for Model Number KSRG25FVMS02 Water and Ice dispenser does not work. Purchased refrigerator in 2010. When release is pressed to dispense either ice or water, it is just dead. No noise or anything. It is unlocked and a new filter is in place. Makes ice just fine. Any clue what this might be and whether it is covered under normal warranty?
Answer Hello Linda, You should first check at the door hinge to make sure the harness is plugged in securely. If no problem is found there, the W10728484 probably has one or more pins broken that hold the micro switch in position. The second issue should be covered under warranty if the warranty is still in effect, (the manufacturers warranty only covers functional parts for one year).
