Audrey for Model Number KSCS25FKSS01

Our kitchen aide side by side ice maker is working, but it is not dispensing cubes or crushed ice. We have replaced all the switches with no fix to our problem. When the paddle is depressed for the cube ice the motor makes a noise, but nothing happens. When we switch to the crushed ice and depress the paddle, there is no noise (only the switch). The light comes on when the paddle is pressed for cubes and crushed. We also replaced the auger motor, and this did not make a difference. The water dispenses well. Please help!

Audrey, you will want to check to ensure that when the dispenser paddle is pressed in, that the auger motor is receiving 120VAC. If it is not, then you will want to test the wiring for continuity from the blue wire on the solenoid for type of ice to the blue wire on the auger motor (with the wires disconnected from the parts and the power turned off). There should be continuity as these two wires are connected to each other in the circuit. If there is not continuity then you have a wiring issue on the incoming voltage side of the circuit. If there is continuity then you will want to check the white wires of the components for continuity as they are both tied in to the neutral side together. If there is not continuity, then you have a wiring issue on the neutral side of the wiring for your auger motor.

Dawn, First check the wire harness at the bottom of the freezer door and hinge, make sure there's no damaged wires or loose connections. Remove the ice container, select cubed ice, hold the door switch closed and press the ice lever, you should hear and see the cube solenoid energize and raise up, and see the auger motor yoke rotate. If nothing happens, you'll need to remove the dispenser facade and bracket assembly and check the actuator switch and ice dispenser lever fot cracks, breaks and operation.

Hello Janae. Make sure the shut off arm didn't get raised up when installing the bin. If so, just pull it down to turn back on the icemaker.
