This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Pat for Model Number WRT104TFDW01

My refrigerator section is warm. Freezer section below 0 and is getting a lot of frost and ice build up but yet everything is not froze over badly behind the freezers back panel and the air vents to the fridge section are not froze over..I have replaced the defrost timer board and thermostat but problem remains..now I just noticed that the evaporator fan seems to run weak you cant hardly hear it and and the air flow from it is very weak, It is getting the full 120 v ?? Do fan fail like this ??and cause these types of issues ??

Answer

Pat, While it is very possible that the fan motor could be weak, it is not likely going to be the issue in this case. You will want to remove the rear wall in the freezer and check the return air ducts for being blocked. Once the wall is remove there will be 3 holes in the floor in front of the evaporator. The 2 outer ones are the return air ducts. Make sure that they are clear and not blocked. If these check ok then also check the tower in the freezer to ensure that there is not ice blockage in the tower as this could be the other issue that is occurring. Make sure that when food is being put into the freezer that is it not getting pushed all the way up against the tower as this can cause moisture build up in the tower and cause it to freeze.
