George for Model Number Maytag mff2558vem5 The freezer is working fine, but the coils in the back are freezing up and not allowing air flow up to the refrigerator. I have manually defrosted this and all works well for a few days. This is supposed to be a frost free unit. What needs to be done to eliminate this problem?
Answer Hello George, What you want to check on unit is the defrost thermostat WP67003426, heater W10825088 and control board WPW10503278. Check continuity on the defrost bi metal and heater. If no continuity on either one then you would need to replaced that component. If everything checks ok then you will need to replaced control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
