Roboro1972 for Model Number Whirlpool Quiet Plus 940 Series DU940QWDZ4 Just picked this up & just found leaking at pump underneath. Unsure so I purchased Drain & Wash Impeller Kit (675806). Began to pre-disassemble and found broken shards of glass all over under pump base. Do I need to replace pump gasket as well (717000). If so, is this centering tool mandatory?
Answer Hello roboro1972. If the gasket is not leaking, you will not need to replace the gasket. You need to check and see where the water is leaking from and replace the parts that are leaking.
