Gus for Model Number 214943VT Maytag top load The washer hasn't been used for several years. I want to try to fix it for a back up. Yesterday it went through the delicate cycle and worked fine. When I started to wash a wash & wear load it would spin but water didn't go out. I am thinking the belt or belts maybe sliping. I haven't had a chance to check the belts yet. The washer is about 20 years old, but has only been used for about 8 yrs. I am limited for the size of washer so I would like to try to fix it. Do you think it would be advisable. Do you think it sounds like a belt or belts? Thanks Gus
Answer Hello Gus. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the belt need to be replaced, if the unit was not used for a long period of time. The model number you provided does not work. We will need a correct model number to help more with this. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
