Roger for Model Number 2206671 maytag washer I have an older maytag washer that has always worked great. Recently the spin cycle sounds like a lawn mower. It is still spinning. Before I get into it does that sound like a belt or bearing problem? I did have a repairman come out but of course it would not make the noise when he was here. thanks Roger
Answer Roger, The tub bearings don't usually "heal themselves" and the noise goes away, but it is a remote possibility. It's a more likely issue is a faulty drain pump, belts and check the motor rollers and springs on the motor carriage. ( 2206671 isn't a Maytag model number, the model number usually start with an A, LA, LAT then numbers ending in 2 or 3 letters, a proper model number is a great help). Read More...
