Ing-Ing L. for Model Number KEMC378KSS0 I have the combo model KEMC378KSS0, I need to replace the torsion spring for the microwave oven door. The parts diagram shows it as part #16 (or manufacturer #4451008). Should I get two of these? Why is there a part 16A? This 16A is not in the diagram. Or are 16 and 16A for the right and left springs, respectively? Please advise. Thanks!
Answer Hello, The door springs on these are actually called torsion bars or torsion springs. It does take two of them. Whirlpool had an issue with the listings and we had to research to locate the correct part numbers for the specific model number. You will need to order one WP4452398 for the right hand side and one WP4452395 for the left hand side. They will be different colors, but this is correct regardless of what color the original ones are. Be sure not to mix them up during installation since this will affect the proper door closure.
