John for Model Number Whirlpool Cabrio 8-10 years old We have a balance issue. We get the problem with 10-12 minutes left in the cycle. I have checked the suspension rods and see no issues. Approx 6 months ago, I changed the bearings and shaft. I had a repairman look at it and he said the stator was cracked. My inspection later was there was minimal cracks around the inside of the stator. It would be an easy DIY repair for $160. Do you think this is the issue. I do not want to spend the $300+ for him to fix it when I can by a new Cabrio washer for $600.
Answer Hello John. It depends on the issue with the unit. It could be the stator, but then again, it could be other things as well.
