Adam for Model Number WTW8800YC1 My control board caught fire during the spin cycle the other night. Heard loud "pop" with maybe some clunking followed, then smoke coming out of panel area. Washer completely dead so was hard to figure out what happened other than control board caught fire. Bought a used working control board because didn't feel catching a brand new on fire. Installed "new" non-burned control board, powered on just fine, but getting UL code and cycles going in a continuous loop. I expected the stator after seeing that it might be a possible culprit for the UL code. I found a nice size crack in the stator, could this be the culprit for my UL code and the cause of my control board shorting and catching fire?
Answer Adam, If there is a crack in the stator then this would be the issue and would need to replace the stator on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, January 18, 2019
