Nilan for Model Number 79641162410 Hello, my washer drum attempts to spin but ends up shaking back and forth (as if the motor is locked) and gives the "LE" error code. I changed the Hall Sensor, so I know that's not the issue. How can I be certain that the stator is the problem?
Answer Nilan, it would be recommended that the spin basket is inspected for any indication of resistance when rotated by hand. If there is resistance, there may be clothing that got stuck in between the spin basket and the outer tub. If there is not resistance, the stator AJB73816004 windings can be tested. Each winding should test as having between 5O to 15O (windings should be about the same on each test). Another thing to look for would be if the spin basket is able to wiggle around inside of the outer tub. If it can, this would indicate a failing spyder shaft or tub bearing. Read More...
