Don for Model Number 11062922100 Have replaced two thermal cutoff fuses and high limit thermostat sets, both new ones blew (they were ERP brand that cost 9.75). Could the parts be defective? How about the wiring? I wired the solid red and red w/ white line to heating coil, then at red w/ white line from thermostat to thermal fuse and then a black wire from thermostat to thermal fuse. Is that the correct wiring? Would buying OEM kit help? Or could it be the other thermostat?
Answer Hello Don. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. If the vent is stopped up, it can blow the high limits. Also make sure the cycling thermostat WP3387134 is working properly. Hope this helps. Read More...
