Pablo for Model Number whirlpool / gas What is the funtion for the "thermal cut-off" ? Because the flame was on just for 10 sac, and than go off. i tried a new, flame sensor and new coil, and still doing the same problem. When I tried to diconect the thermal cut-off, the flame didn't go off. Can I run drier like that, while I get new parts?
Answer Hi Pablo. A thermal cut off will open the heat circuit one time for a safety issue. Running without creates a high risk of fire situation since you have effectively bypassed the safety circuit. From what you have described you need the igniter which is weak and is opening under normal operations. Part # 279311. Thank You. Read More...
