Josh for Model Number med6000xw1 My dryer keeps overheating and blowing the thermal fuse. The lint pipe is completely free there is no blockage. I have cleaned all lint from every inch of inside of dyer also.
Answer Josh, The thermal fuse WP3392519 on the blower housing reacts to heat in the blower housing (300 dgrs.+). This would normally be due to and exhaust air flow problem, or an overload in the drum. Check the heater element and wires to make sure there's nothing shorted to the element case or chassis. Then run the dryer with an average sized type load, with the vent disconnected from the dryer. The exhaust temperature should average 150 dgrs. and it should dry that type size load in approximately 30 to 40 minutes. You may have to estimate the total "operating" vent length and size according to the installation manual. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, June 17, 2016
