Biire2u for Model Number LE5700XPW0 My whirlpool dryer won't start at all. No noise or hum of any kind. I measured 240V at the terminals so the circuit is good. I can hear the timer button when I turn it on to a cycle. I checked the dryer vent and it appears clean and no obstructions around heating coils neither. Could a bad thermostat prevent dryer from even starting? If not, what else should I look for? Thanks a bunch, your videos are great
Answer Hello biire2u. You need to test the thermal fuse WP3392519 and the door switch W10820036. Either will prevent the unit from running. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
