Ron for Model Number MFI2269VEM7 Icemaker stops working. When I check it, there is not any water or ice in the ice maker. After about a week and a half it starts making ice again. Last time it worked for about a week, then stopped again for another week and a half, then started up again. Could this be a thermostat problem or a temperature problem. The freezer temperature shows zero degrees. Where should I start? Thank you for your assistance.
Answer Ron, with the ice maker face cover removed from the ice maker motor, the ice maker would need to be placed into a harvest mode. Using a jumper wire, place one end into port T and the other into port H until the ice rake reaches the three o'clock position. After removing the jumper wire once this position is reached, a meter would be used to test from port N to port V until the harvest cycle has completed. Near the end, there should be 120VAC when testing these ports. If there is and water does not fill the ice maker, the water valve WPW10312696 has failed. If there is not voltage, the ice maker W10882923 has failed. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 19, 2022
